When I ordered, there were only two unused texts available. However, the price was about 40% of that on offer from my opportunistic school. So, despite the long (and advertised) Order-Ship Time, I bought on price. I'm glad I did. Terrific book, fresh off the press... from Belgium (?). Just past two weeks to deliver. I can live with it.
The textbook came as described, It was an earlier addition of my book I chose to by that earlier addition to save money and the contents is very similar so if you are between the two additions I would choose this. The material is the same the only difference are with page numbers but with using Google bucks I was able to search the correct page number. Just say little tip to save a few bucks, but the book came right in time. Good condition and fast shipping.
I rent this for my Business, Law and Ethics class. I think is a very good book, the flow is easy to follow and the cases analyzed in each chapter are both relevant and insightful. Very good textbook.
Don't get the Kindle version unless you have to. It's not formated for it at all and it's like a bunch of pdf pages. I hate it. I have to zoom in on every page because it's seriously just a picture of the book for every page. It's hard to read and so annoying.
I found this book helpful. This book was part of my course, and it gave good examples and real-life cases of ethical challenges faced by organizations. I would recommend all CxOs to read through this book. Sometimes the examples went into much detail, which made it difficult from an exam standpoint if no reference to the case was provided during the exam (as was my situation).But for anyone to understand what kind of dilemmas are posed in businesses, this text was very helpful.
I rented this book for a college class, so this would not be a book I would by for pure enjoyment, however, for a subject like this one I actually found this book quite enjoyable to read. I actually really enjoyed reading it and the information that they discussed. I don't agree with all of the authors viewpoints, but I think the authors did a good job of making a boring subject interesting.
It doesn't get five stars but only because it's a textbook. Honestly though, this is a great tool for my class, and it helps me understand law from a case perspective. I would recommend this book to those looking for a preliminary understanding of the law. I find that it is an easy read for the most part, and explains things well. I'm glad this was the book used, and would tell other professors to try this book.
This is the worst 'textbook' I've ever read. And I've had to read some doozies. The authors are highly selective in the briefs they present, and the stats that they chose to cite. This is about as imbalanced as it comes. This is an effort to mold future leaders in a more liberal mindset.
